Emergency services use cloud technology to speed up emergency response

Israeli rescue organization United Hatzalah is launching a new cloud-based response platform developed by Carbyne, an Israeli startup that designs call systems for emergency services.

Carbyne’s APEX emergency response solution provides United Hatzalah with advanced technological capabilities that enable reliable and uninterrupted operations.

United Hatzalah’s response teams will use the AI-based platform to enable live video feeds of callers, obtain real-time photos from the scene of an incident, determine the exact location of a caller, and even manage text-based chat when a conversation is not possible.

The caller can use these features without downloading an app by clicking on a link sent to their phone from the call center.

“Based on the lessons we have learned since October 7, we are significantly improving our emergency response capabilities and changing the game of lifesaving,” said Dov Maisel, vice president of operations at United Hatzalah.

“Moving to the cloud with Carbyne’s APEX ensures a faster and more efficient response, increases the chance of saving lives and gives the community a greater sense of security,” he said.

“We appreciate United Hatzalah’s management for its commitment to providing a modern, efficient and reliable work environment for its thousands of employees and volunteers, and beyond that, for its commitment to providing faster and better assistance to the public it serves in emergency situations,” said Amir Elichai, founder and CEO of Carbyne.

“Carbyne is committed to providing the emergency services world with innovative communications solutions that revolutionize the way lifesaving centers operate,” he said.
