Augusta Women’s Cross Country Ranked 2nd in PBC Preseason Poll

AUGUSTA, GA – The Augusta University women’s cross country team was picked to finish second in the 2024 PBC preseason poll. The Jaguars open the season on Sept. 23 in Boone, NC at the Fire Tower Project, hosted by Appalachian State.

“I am proud that our men and women are doing so well in the preseason polls,” said head coach Jacob Burgamy. “Their hard work keeps paying off. We just have to stay focused and focus on getting better every day so that these predictions can become reality in a few months.”

The Jaguars have finished third in each of the last three PBC Championships and were a top 10 seed in the 2023 NCAA Southeast Regional. The Jaguars return two seniors and a graduate student to the top of the lineup, led by senior Caroline Pierce who was an all-conference runner last season.
