Alina Kabaeva: “Finally a boy!”: Putin has two sons with gymnast Alina Kabaeva, report claims

Russian President Vladimir Putin has two sons with his lover, a gymnast Alina Kabaeva with whom Putin’s relationship remained secret and was the subject of salacious rumors. Putin’s sons are Ivan Putin, 9, and Vladimir Putin (Junior), 5, and they live like royal princes, according to Dossier Centre, an independent investigative media outlet. The outlet has more details about the boys and their lives – they had British and New Zealand citizens as governesses, but now Putin only recruits South African citizens to teach them English.
“The sons of Vladimir Putin and Alina Kabaeva – Ivan Putin and Vladimir Putin (the younger) – are isolated in their residences and travel on yachts and corporate jets,” the report said.
Putin’s sons do not attend school; their lessons take place in palaces and they do not often meet their parents.
According to reports, the revelations about Putin’s male heirs may not please him, as he has kept his son and even their mother secret, although his relationship with Olympic gold medalist Kabaeva has been going on since 2008 or probably earlier.
Ivan is Putin’s first son after three daughters – Maria 39, Katerina 37 and Luiza 21. Putin was previously married to Lyudmila Putina, whom he divorced in 2013.
Ivan Putin told his teachers and security guards that Putin was very happy when he was born and shouted: “Hurrah! Finally a boy!”
Ivan was reportedly born in 2015 at the Sant’Anna maternity hospital in Lugano, Switzerland. In 2019, the second son was born in Moscow. “Both times, the decision on where the birth would take place was made by the president himself,” Dossier quoted one of its sources as saying.
