- Single league phase: All 36 teams will be listed in a single table, but each team will play just 8 games – four at home and four away – against different opponents. This means that no team will face the same opponent twice in this phase.
- Qualification for the knockout round: The best 8 teams at the end of this league phase automatically advance to the round of 16. The teams in places 9 to 24 play in a knockout playoff in the meantime. The winners of these playoffs secure the remaining eight places in the round of 16.
- Knockout round: After the round of 16, the competition will continue in the traditional knockout format and will end with the final, which will be played on 31 May 2025 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
