NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – Head coach of the men’s and women’s swimming teams in Niagara Eric Bugby has announced its programme plan for 2024–25.

Following the annual Purple & White and Alumni reunion on September 21, the Niagara women’s and men’s swim teams will officially open the 2024–25 season at home against McMaster on September 28.

The Purple Eagles will then travel to St. Bonaventure on Oct. 5 before returning to the Oxy Aquatic Center on Oct. 11 and 26 to face Cleveland State and Youngstown State, respectively.

The 2024 MAAC women’s swimming and diving champions will travel to St. Francis on November 2, while the men’s team will host Cornell the same day.

The women host Stonehill on Nov. 9, Niagara’s final dual meet of the fall semester, as the final three meets of the 2024 calendar year are the Magnus Invite in Cleveland, Ohio, Nov. 21-23, the Toyota US Open in Greensboro, NC, Dec. 4-7, and the CSCAA Open Water Championship in Miami, Florida, on Dec. 15.

Niagara will host Gannon on Nov. 11 for its final home game of the 2024-25 season before concluding the regular season with three consecutive road games. The purple and white will face Waterloo on Jan. 17, then head to downtown Buffalo’s Burt Flickinger Center to take on rival Canisius on Jan. 18, and then play its final regular season game at Le Moyne on Jan. 25.

The 2025 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships will be held in Geneva, Ohio and the SPIRE Institute for the second consecutive year from February 12-15. The Niagara women will look to capture their third title in four years, while the men will look to build on their second-place finish from last year.

Niagara will send its individual MAAC champion winners to the CSCAA National Invitational in Ocala, Florida, March 13-15.
