NBC analysts Tony Dungy, Super Bowl-winning coach of the Indianapolis Colts, and Rodney Harrison, Super Bowl-winning defensive back for the New England Patriots, both praised Derrick Henry.
“He’ll bring the right mentality,” Dungy said. “(The Ravens) only carried the ball 16 times in the AFC Championship Game. The Ravens can’t do that again and Derrick Henry won’t let them.”
Harrison said the Ravens will try to throw the ball as often as possible, but Henry will need to be the leader of the running game to keep the offense going.
“He brings size, he brings intimidation,” Harrison said. “They want to let Lamar throw and let him win the MVP, but to win a Super Bowl you have to put your hands in the ground and run the football. They can definitely do that with Derrick Henry.”
