The best 16 participants of the Mansion Sports Hanoi Open 2024 confirmed – News

The top 16 professionals from the World Nineball Tour are confirmed to compete in the Mansion Sports Hanoi Open 2024 in the heart of Vietnam from October 8-13, sponsored by leading sports investment firm Mansion Sports & Entertainment Group.

In collaboration with UK broadcaster Sky Sports and Vietnamese broadcaster Vietcontent, this electrifying spectacle of the World Nineball Tour will once again grace the Hanoi Indoor Games Gymnasium at the Vietnam National Sports Complex.

At this year’s event, reigning Hanoi Open champion Jayson Shaw will be joined by an elite list of pool players. New world champion and WNT No. 1 Fedor Gorst, 2023 world champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz and US Open champion Ko Ping Chung are just some of the many talents returning for a second year.

Jayson Shaw said: “I know defending my title in Hanoi this year will be a challenge as the level of competition will be higher than ever before. However, I am ready to fight for what is rightfully mys and take the crown again in Hanoi.”

Top cue players making their debut at this year’s Hanoi Open include Joshua Filler, Eklent Kaçi and Witkor Zielenski.

Eklent Kaçi, who was unable to take part in the tournament last year due to injury, shared his excitement: “I have been looking forward to this event all year. Not being able to take part last year was tough, but I am ready to play my best game in Hanoi. Winning the Hanoi Open this year would be the perfect opportunity to showcase my talent and set the stage for the Reyes Cup the following week.”

At the Hanoi Open Pool Championship, 256 players will compete for prize money of $200,000 over the course of six exciting days.

This year’s tournament aims to build on the overwhelming success of the first edition, which saw 3,000 fans attend the final. This year’s line-up is even stronger, with the top 128 pros from the World Nineball Tour competing alongside the 2024 global qualifiers. The full draw will be announced in the coming months.
