Actress and director Zoë Kravitz has a lot on her plate: planning a wedding now that she’s engaged to fiancé Channing Tatum and preparing for the release of her upcoming film. Flash twice.
But when it comes to directing a film and planning a future wedding, both tasks are equally difficult, says Kravitz… at least for her.
“For most people it’s probably making a movie, but I approach everything with the same psychosis and intensity,” Kravitz said recently People in an exclusive interview, and after being asked what was more difficult: planning a wedding or making a film.
“So I would say it’s equal,” she added.
Kravitz, who got engaged in October, is also set to make her directorial debut with the psychological thriller (which she also co-wrote and co-produced), which stars her fiancé Tatum.
In the same interview, Kravitz also talked about the enormous task that lay behind the camera.

“After the first day of shooting, I was like, ‘Oh my God. I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into?'” she told the publication. “And the editing process was very long and the film didn’t work for a very long time. It was like this cycle.”
Kravitz thanked her fiancé for keeping her grounded throughout the process. (According to Peoplethe couple began dating while working on the film together.)
“There were good days and bad days and he just had to say, ‘Which version of Zoe is coming into the house today? Is she excited or is she a puddle?'” she explained.
In an earlier interview with People, The Magic Mike The star revealed what it was like to work with his future bride and receive direction from her.
“Creating something with someone you love is probably one of the most satisfying things, outside of having a child with someone, I think,” he told the publication at the time. “It’s one of those… you’re really creating something from nothing. And it’s like a marriage or creating something where you think, ‘Everything we are goes into this,’ and you want to do it with people you love.”

Kravtiz agreed, adding that she believes “experiencing something creative like this with someone brings you closer together.”
“There’s so much more trust there,” she added, noting that working with her fiancé has actually strengthened their romantic relationship.
“Yes, we were able to work together, get through difficult times together and support each other,” she explained. “And it was beautiful.”
