Zoë Kravitz rejects her father’s comments about her wedding to Channing Tatum

Zoë Kravitz has dismissed her father Lenny Kravitz’s comments about her upcoming wedding to Channing Tatum.

The Fly Away musician claimed in a recent interview that he is looking forward to his daughter marrying the Magic Mike star “next year.” However, the Big Little Lies actress insisted in a profile interview for Esquire that they have not set a wedding date yet.

She rolled her eyes in mock anger and said, “It’s literally something we said in passing. For example, I might have said, ‘Next year would be cool.'”

Kravitz and Tatum began dating during pre-production on their upcoming directorial debut, “Blink Twice,” and got engaged last year.

The Batman actress was previously married to actor Karl Glusman between 2019 and 2021, while the 21 Jump Street star was married to dancer Jenna Dewan between 2009 and 2019, with whom he has a daughter.

Kravitz, 35, admitted to the publication that she was unsure if she wanted to have children of her own.

“For a long time I felt like there was something wrong with me,” she confessed. “I was waiting for the light to go on, but it never did. When you’re younger you think, ‘I can’t have kids. I’m too young! That would be crazy.’ (But later) I actually had to figure out what I wanted.

“There’s a lot of pressure on women to have children, and you feel like you have no purpose if you don’t. But with this film, I feel like I’ve given birth to a child.”

Blink Twice will be in theaters on August 23rd.
