Zach Bryan deletes Twitter account after Taylor Swift-Kanye tweet

After a strong reaction to a harsh tweet about Ye and Taylor Swift, Zach Bryan has X-Account.

On Wednesday (September 18), the country star shared a steamy take that may have proved too hot for social media. His message began with “Eagles > Chiefs,” followed by “Kanye > Taylor.” He concluded with “Who’s with me?” – and the answer to that question appears to have gotten him kicked off the site formerly known as Twitter.

Swifties were quick to come to Taylor’s aid, as Bryan’s message was a double attack against both Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. “He knew not to mess with the Swifties,” wrote one commenter on a Pop Desire Post about the tweet, and another writes: “I was quite brave just to chicken out and disable it.”

According to Bryan’s Instagram (which is still active), he’s been on a Kanye trip lately. The first four of his current Instagram stories, as of press time, feature four older songs by Ye (formerly Kanye West): “Good Life” featuring T-Pain from 2007 Diploma and “I Thought About Killing You”, “All Mine” and “Ghost Town”, featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR, from 2018 Her.

The rivalry between the Eagles and the Chiefs has intensified in recent years. In the 2023 Super Bowl, Travis Kelce faced his now-retired brother Jason Kelce and the Philly team, which Kansas City emerged victorious from.

The far more heated rivalry, however, was between Swift and Ye. The story began when West interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs to declare that Beyoncé should have won instead. They reconciled afterward and even struck up an unlikely friendship before Ye included some questionable lyrics about Swift in his song “Famous” and his then-wife Kim Kardashian released a recording of a private phone conversation between the two musicians that set their rocky relationship ablaze.

The pair hinted at their famous feud just last month when Ye appeared on his Vulture 2 Album and Swift’s redesign of a Department for Tortured Poets In the song title, YE is capitalized: “thank You aimEe.”
