‘You have a new phone’: 3 arrested for cyber fraud in Gurgaon

GURGAON: Three cyber fraudsters were arrested on Friday for identity fraud officer out of Samsung And Attract individuals under the pretext of new cell phones.

Mani Chaubey, the mastermind of the scam, posed as a Samsung employee and contacted individuals promising them a new Samsung phone. He then asked the victims to deposit a certain amount on a Bank account to accept an offer. Once the money was received, he transferred it to the bank accounts of his accomplices Khushwant Goit and Rohit Singh. The trio then blocked the customers’ phone numbers so that they had no way of contacting or tracking them down.
