Samsung has updated its Try Galaxy app with new features that demonstrate the latest products unveiled at Unpacked in Paris, including the Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Ring. Perhaps the cleverest addition to Try Galaxy, however, is the new Fold experience that uses two phones.

If you have two phones or a friend can lend you one, you can run the Try Galaxy app on both, select the Fold Experience option, decide which phone you want to place on the left and which you want to place on the right, and then link them with a random code.

Once setup is complete, you can place the two phones side by side to simulate the big-screen experience of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The two phones are (almost perfectly) synced and everything you see on one screen will be reflected on the other. Here are some examples:

It goes without saying that you’ll have a better experience if the two phones you’re using are the same size. Even then, you won’t get exactly the same aspect ratio as a real Fold, but it’s close enough for a demonstration.

Just a little taste of the Galaxy Z Fold experience

The Fold experience is limited to simulating three scenarios, namely Circle to Search, multitasking, and watching videos on the foldable screen. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers much more than that and many more Galaxy AI features.

Still, this is a clever idea that anyone with access to two Android phones or even iPhones can try, and it costs nothing. You can install Try Galaxy from the official website of the same name (just click the link) on phones running Samsung Internet or Google Chrome.

If you want to go with the real thing, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is now available for $1,899 and up, and in some markets you can get trade-in discounts of up to $1,200 and other offers or bonuses.

The new Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a foldable 7.6-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness. The cover screen is 6.3 inches and has similar brightness and refresh rate specs. It’s the sleekest and most durable Fold yet.
