Women’s tennis announces schedule for 2024-25

LONG BEACH, California – Head Coach Jenny Hilt-Costello and Long Beach State Women’s Tennis have announced the new schedule for the upcoming 2024–25 season.

The season begins at home when Long Beach State hosts the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament, which runs Oct. 3-6 at the Rhodes Tennis Center on campus. Long Beach then competes in the ITA Southwest Regionals in San Diego before wrapping up the fall with the UNLV Fall Tournament, Nov. 8-10.

In the spring, Long Beach State will again host an opening tune-up tournament and will welcome teams to the Beach Tennis Winter Invite on January 17-19, which will feature a round-robin tournament immediately prior to the start of the doubles season.

The doubles action will kick off in earnest next week when the Beach travel to Oregon to face Seattle U on a neutral court before playing Oregon on the road in Eugene. Next weekend’s trip to UC San Diego will be the team’s first Big West match, and then the team’s first doubles match will be Saturday, February 15, when Long Beach State hosts CSUN at the Rhodes Tennis Center.

After two local away games, Long Beach State will make a long trip to the East Coast, facing Georgetown, Navy and George Washington over three days from February 27 to March 1.

After returning home, the Beach will play six consecutive matches at the Rhodes Tennis Center, beginning with Youngstown State on March 6 and concluding with a conference match against UC Santa Barbara on March 26.

After a rivalry game at Cal State Fullerton, the beach league will travel north to play three more games at Santa Clara, Sacramento State and UC Davis before concluding its home game against UC Riverside on April 9. The regular season will end on April 18 on the road at UC Irvine in the Black and Blue Rivalry, followed by another Big West Championship in San Diego on April 23-26.
