CONWAY, SC – The Coastal Carolina women’s soccer team will travel for the first of three away games, beginning August 21 at UNCW with kickoff at 6 p.m. ET.
Singing conversation
- CCU has a record of 0-0-1 this season.
- The Chants want their first away win under the head coach Jo Chubb.
- Last Thursday, 17 CCU players were in action, nine of them celebrating their first international match in teal and bronze.
- First semester Olivia Goretski scored her first collegiate goal in her career debut and the first goal ever at the new CCU Soccer Complex.

Last time outside
- The Chants earned a 1-1 draw against the Richmond Spiders in their season opening game.
- Goretski scored the Chanticleers’ first goal of the season, off an assist from Lawson, to give CCU a 1-0 lead in the 61st minute.
- Coastal could have taken a 2-0 lead with a penalty in the 67th minute, but could not capitalize on the opportunity and kept the score at 1-0.
- The Spiders responded in the 75th minute when Brigitte Bussiere equalized after an assist from Emma Coleman.
- The Chants had more shots on goal than Richmond, 13-6, and led in corners, 5-3.
Scouting out the enemy
- UNCW has a record of 1-0-1 this season.
- The Seahawks earned their season-opening victory, defeating Charlotte 2-1.
- Last time, UNCW played a 1-1 draw against UNC Greensboro.
- Three different Seahawks (Ayanna Parker, Taylor O’Brian and Ayla Vaneus) have scored a goal this season.
- Vaneus is the team’s top player with three points and has scored one goal and one assist this year.

- CCU has an all-time record of 2-13-0 against UNCW.
