FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The woman who died when a Tesla collided with a Dinuba driver near Coalinga has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
According to the California Highway Patrol, early in the morning of August 10, a Tesla from Vista was driving south on Highway 269, just north of Ford Avenue, while a driver from Dinuba was traveling in the opposite direction.

For an unknown reason, investigators say, the Tesla came directly in front of the other driver. The truck collided with the right passenger side of the Tesla.
As a result, the Tesla’s passenger died at the scene, while the driver suffered minor injuries. The other driver suffered a leg injury.
The coroner identified the Tesla’s passenger as 27-year-old Tiffany Boone of Vista, California, in San Diego County.
Investigators are currently actively working to determine the cause of the collision.
