Gary O’Neil’s side are winless in five games this season and have managed just one win in their last 15 Premier League games last season. In their last game they lost 3-1 at Aston Villaas they took the lead but collapsed late on and Wolves’ defense is looking very shaky this season. With difficult games ahead, it’s hard to predict when Wolves’ next win will come and the pressure is mounting on O’Neil. That pressure seems harsh given a summer in which top players have been sold and not reinvested while owners continue to cut spending, but it is the reality.

In their last game, Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-0 in the Premier League thanks to a first-half blitz that saw Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez both on the scoresheet and Mohamed Salah pulling the strings. They have won four of their first five games this season and are one point behind leaders Manchester City. The Reds also beat West Ham 5-1 in the League Cup in midweek as Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo both scored braces to underline Liverpool’s wealth of attacking options. Arne Slot’s side have recovered well from their shock home defeat to Forest a few weeks ago, scoring at least three goals in wins against AC Milan, Bournemouth and West Ham in three different competitions.

Wolves vs Liverpool Live Updates – By Nick Mendola

Wolves live score against Liverpool: 0-0

Wolves prepared to battle as Liverpool fell apart in the final third

A short corner played for Liverpool, which ended without any danger, shows the first 20 minutes in a nutshell.

The Reds were the better team but the chances are far from optimal and Wolves did some good things with the ball in short periods.

Ibrahima Konate ended Wolves’ latest threat with a 0-0 draw in the 22nd minute.

Lineup of the wolves

Johnstone, Semedo, Bueno, T. Gomes, Ait-Nouri, Andre, J. Gomes, Lemina, Bellegarde, Cunha, Strand Larsen

Liverpool lineup

Alisson, Robertson, Konate, Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Salah, Diaz, Jota

Wolves focus, team news

Injury problems are mounting at Wolves with Colombian centre-back Yerson Mosquera ruled out for the rest of the season due to the serious knee injury he sustained at Villa. Toti Gomes is questionable in this case, while Sasa Kalajdzic, Enso Medina and Boubacar Traore all remain out. Wolves look strong in midfield, with Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes doing their best to hold the team together, while new striker Jorgen Strand Larsen is a threat up front, linking up well with Matheus Cunha. Hwang Hee-chan, Pablo Sarabia and Carlos Forbs all push for minutes as the Wolves try to get the attack going.

Liverpool focus, team news

Harvey Elliott is definitely out for Liverpool, while Alisson is recovering from a hamstring injury and could be available. Slot will likely take Salah, Diaz and Nunez up front given how well last weekend went against Bournemouth, but Gakpo and Jota are pushing hard for a start. Ryan Gravenberch has given Liverpool extra control in midfield, while Dominik Szoboszlai’s play has also played a big part in making Liverpool look so dangerous when they get going in the final third.

Wolves vs Liverpool Prediction.

It feels like Wolves are flying out of their traps, but then they lose steam and Liverpool overwhelm them with their attacking talents and cause chaos. Wolves 1-3 Liverpool.
