Willoughby hosts a Touch-A-Truck event on September 7

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio – The City of Willoughby is offering visitors of all ages the opportunity to learn about, explore, touch and honk their horns on trucks and equipment at its upcoming Touch-A-Truck event.

The free, family-friendly event will take place on September 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Willoughby Service Garage and is a joint effort between the Willoughby Parks and Recreation Departments, Police, Fire and Public Services.

The event is designed to provide an interactive and educational experience for children by allowing participants to explore a variety of vehicles, including fire trucks, patrol cars, a SWAT vehicle, snow plows, tractors and more.

To ensure the event is accessible to all, a special sensory hour will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. during which there will be no horns, sirens or flashing lights. Families wishing to attend during this time must pre-register online.

In addition to the vehicles, the event will feature a DJ, inflatables, giveaways and treats from Fungry Food Truck and CLE Cotton Candy.

The garage is located at 37400 North Industrial Parkway. For more information and to register for the sensory hour, visit the event page online.
