Why Bubba Wallace missed Daniel Suarez’s big Brazilian wedding – revealed

When celebrated NASCAR driver Daniel Suarez married Julia Piquet in Brazil during the Olympic off-season, many fans expected a star-studded guest list from the world of racing. However, several stars were missing, most notably Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda.

In recent weeks, NASCAR has briefly lost some of its momentum as drivers take time off. While Tyler Reddick enjoyed quieter moments with family at home, Suarez celebrated his wedding abroad in Brazil, where Julia’s family lives.

However, as social media flooded with pictures and news from the wedding, some observers quickly noticed the absence of the other drivers, including Bubba Wallace.

The reason for this, it turned out, was personal circumstances at home, which were due to equally good news from the family. Both Bubba Wallace and his wife were invited to the celebration, but since Amanda was pregnant, the couple could hardly fly.

When Julia saw the questions circulating on social media, she quickly put an end to the heated debate that had built up around the topic and posted the following on her Instagram story:

“My dear friends @bubbawallace and @amandaaawallace were invited but my girl is pregnant and traveling far away by plane is not easy. They were with us in spirit!!!”

Daniel Suarez and his new wife Julia now organize their lives around the racing calendar. Although they are diving back into the world of competition, they plan to postpone their honeymoon in Japan until the racing season is over.

Julia shared her excitement about her upcoming plans:

“We’re really excited to go there. It’s getting settled into our new home, getting back on the NASCAR schedule, hopefully competing for a championship and just continuing to do what we’re doing. We’re going to stay strong as a couple, grow together and move forward in life.”

As NASCAR returns after a brief hiatus due to the 2024 Paris Olympics, excitement is building with the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway. Fans can look forward to Kyle Larson, who just picked up his fourth win of the season and is one of the top contenders at this historic track where he already took a win earlier this year.

The racing weekend begins on Saturday, August 10 with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and culminates on Sunday, August 11 with the highly anticipated Cook Out 400. Fans can catch all the action on FS1, NBC Sports App and USA Network, with additional coverage available on Fubo.

As NASCAR starts its engines for the upcoming event, stories like Daniel Suarez’s continuation at Trackhouse Racing and leadership changes at TRD are emerging.

Due to the potential threat of hurricanes, Richmond Raceway officials are also keeping a close eye on the weather and ensuring that safety remains the top priority for everyone involved.
