Tennis player Taylor Fritz has officially become the first American in 18 years to reach the final of the US Open after defeating fellow American Frances Tiafoe on September 6.
While Fritz screamed with joy on the pitch, his girlfriend of four years, Morgan Riddle, smiled and cheered in the stands.
But afterwards, the influencer took a moment online to tease Fritz about his “dispute” with ESPN.
On August 30, Fritz retweeted a post from ESPN calling him “the first American since Andre Agassi in 2003 to reach the second week of all four majors in one year.” In his post, Fritz thanked the sports network for the mention and accused ESPN of unfollowing him on social media.
“You follow my girlfriend and not me on Insta, so we have an argument,” Fritz wrote.
A week later the tide turned.
After her boyfriend’s victory over Tiafoe, Riddle shared a screenshot of her Instagram story showing that ESPN is now following both Riddle and Fritz on Instagram. (Of course, they followed the influencer first.)
“Proud of you,” Riddle captioned her post.
The ever-stylish Riddle has traveled the world with her boyfriend over the years, following his tennis career and establishing herself as an authority in the fashion world along the way.
Riddle, 27, is a media executive turned influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Last year, the New York Times named the Minnesota native the “most famous woman in men’s tennis.”

Morgan Riddle and Taylor Fritz met through a dating app
Riddle told the New York Times in 2023 that she met Fritz in 2020 in Los Angeles, where the couple currently lives, through the dating app Raya.
She told the magazine that she had only moved to California earlier this year and that she hadn’t “made much of an effort” to win over Fritz at the beginning of their relationship.
In the article, Fritz, now 26, said he had openly told Riddle early on that he was leading a nomadic life and traveling around the world in search of success in tennis.
“I initiated it,” he told the Times. “I said, ‘Look, it’s not going to be like that. I don’t have that much free time. I’m going to travel every week.’ But I also said, ‘You know, it’s not a bad deal — you can travel all over the world if you’re willing to do it.'”
The two moved in together after only a few weeks of dating. They currently live together in Los Angeles, but are constantly on the move, as Riddle documents online.
Before dating Riddle, Fritz married and had a son with fellow tennis player Raquel Pedraza, according to Interview Magazine. The couple divorced in 2019.
Morgan Riddle’s influencer era started in 2022
On her popular social media platforms, Riddle takes her followers into her life as a tennis WAG, an acronym for “wives and girlfriends” of athletes.
In January 2022, she posted one of her first viral videos, asking her fans to help her style her look for the Australian Open.
In December 2022, Riddle released her first YouTube video, which she now posts weekly. Her YouTube account features vlogs and everyday-style videos that showcase her adventures traveling with Fritz to various tennis tournaments around the world.
Riddle told the New York Times in 2023 that she earned five times as much as her previous job by posting just one TikTok video.
“I’m really happy with what I do and I make good money,” she told the newspaper. “People are allowed to make as many judgements as they want. Often people have assumptions about me, but then they look at my YouTube or listen to a podcast and think, ‘Oh my God, I was wrong.'”

Riddle may also be known from her role in the Netflix series “Break Point,” which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of aspiring tennis stars.
On the show, Riddle is seen cheering on Fritz during matches and eating takeout with him in their hotel room. Because Fritz did not advance in the tournament the show filmed, the pair was not followed in detail.
Wimbledon has nominated Morgan Riddle to host “Wimbledon Threads”
Wimbledon hired Riddle to host “Wimbledon Threads,” a fashion series focusing on the chic outfits at the major tennis tournament, in the summer of 2023 and 2024.
Grace Barber, the executive producer of the sports production company that produced the series, said in 2023 that she was initially “apprehensive” about the show.
“I just assumed she was basically resting because she’s really hot, has a ton of followers and is Taylor’s girlfriend,” she told the New York Times.
However, after working with Riddle, Barber described her as “hardworking, funny and confident.”
“She has a really clear creative vision of where she wants to go,” she said. “She has a plan.”
Since Wimbledon Threads, Riddle has worked as a correspondent for the F1 Australian Grand Prix. She has also worked with brands such as Miu Miu, Wilson, Dyson, Apple, Hermes, Ralph Lauren, Heineken, Celsius and Kendra Scott, among others.
In 2023, she also launched a jewelry line with the company Lottie, selling a bracelet and necklace, both gold pieces with a tennis racket pendant.

Riddle studied English language and literature at Wagner College in New York and graduated in 2019, according to her LinkedIn page.
Before focusing her career on content creation, she worked as the media director for Gamers Outreach, according to her page. She has also previously worked as an influencer campaign manager and entertainment news presenter.
