Who is Lacey Chabert’s husband David Nehdar? Everything about their marriage and daughter
When it comes to stars who have been on television for a long time, Lacey Chabert is a name that may spring to mind. She has long been a fixture on the Hallmark channel, where she stars in numerous films and television shows. But despite being in the public eye, she is determined to keep her private life with her husband David Nehdar out of the spotlight.
So who exactly is Lacey’s partner? Well, the two have been together for over a decade and not much is known about when she and David met. In fact, the first time people learned that Lacey was in a relationship was when she announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she had gotten married in December 2013.
“I just wanted to share some personal news with you,” she wrote in a series of tweets in January 2014. “I’m starting 2014 as a woman! Over the holidays my best friend and the love of my life… became husband and wife! #soblessed #love.”
Although Lacey did not reveal any exact details about the wedding at the time, she did tell a little about how David Home and family in October 2019. She said she was surprised that she had no idea about the engagement, as she is usually difficult to surprise.
“So there I am, so shocked and surprised, I literally don’t know what’s going on until he’s down on one knee and actually says the words, ‘Will you marry me?'” she said at the time. “I say, ‘What are you doing? A box? You really shouldn’t buy me jewelry, we want to save money.’ He says, ‘Just shut up.’ Of course, we’re both crying.”
As for the wedding itself, Lacey shared important moments of the day with the BUILD series. Not only did she reveal that she had previously worn her wedding dress in a Hallmark Christmas movie, her sister Chrissy Chabert-Taylor was her maid of honor. And although no photos of her and David were posted, she shared an important behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram at the time.
While Lacey and David were happily married, another person joined the family in September 2016. Girls Club – Be careful, they bite! Alaun gave birth to the couple’s only child, daughter Julieand she shared the announcement via an Instagram photo.
“#TBT to the happiest day of my life. One week ago I became a mother to this precious angel. Julia Mimi Bella 💗,” she wrote at the time. “Julia, you are my heart’s dream come true. I love you more than I could ever say. Welcome to this big, beautiful world, sweet girl!”
Since then, Lacey has kept her life with Julia and David mostly private. But she loves to tease her fans with sweet moments between the trio, especially when it comes to Julia. When her daughter found out she was playing Gretchen Wieners, Girls Club – Be careful, they bite!Lacey had to tell the story of Julia’s reaction to The Kelly Clarkson Show in January 2022.
“(Julia) says, ‘Mommy, I didn’t know you were Gretchen Wieners. Did you know that was your name?'” she said via People. “It’s so funny to even hear that name come out of her mouth.”
No matter what happens, Lacey and David always make sure their lives revolve around Julia and what works for their family. Group of Five Alaun confirmed to the BUILD series in March 2017, she makes sure to select projects where the whole group can be together depending on the schedule.
“(Julia) is the most important thing, and it’s not just about my marriage, but what works for the family and the baby,” she explained at the time. “I’m lucky that my job allows me to bring her on set with me, which is really nice.”
