Dancing with the stars returns for season 33 on Tuesday, September 17, with another all-star cast that includes several professional athletes. Former NBA star Dwight Howard is one of the pros set to hit the dance floor.

Howard will work with Emmy-nominated choreographer Daniella Karagach, who has a long history of working with the show and prominent NBA partners.

The 31-year-old Brooklyn native has already appeared on Dancing With The Stars four times.

Karagach joined the occupation of Dancing with the stars during the 28th season, but did not have a celebrity partner until the 29th season, when she conquered the dance floor with the rapper Nelly.

In season 30, she partnered with former NBA star Iman Shumpert, made it to the finals, and won her first Mirrorball Trophy. Shumpert was the first former NBA player to win the show.

Now she is starting full steam ahead with Howard and hopes to make it to the end again.

Karagach began her dance career in 2009 with Pasha Pashkov and won seven U.S. Championships in the 10 Dances and Latin. They competed together in the 2009 World Games, representing the United States.

They also performed together at many international dance competitions, at NBC’s World of Dance, and FOX’s So you think you can dance.

After beginning their dance partnership, Karagach, the daughter of Moldovan immigrants, began dating Pashkov. Their relationship lasted five years before they married in 2014.

They have a daughter together, Nikita Sofia Pashkova, who was born in 2023.

Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars returns Tuesday, September 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.

The episodes can be streamed on Hulu the next day.
