Although Drake had to keep up with 23 brides in his latest video for “Falling Back,” it was the wedding singer who caught the attention.

Dan Finnerty, known for his numerous musical cameos on screen and as the frontman of the comedy group The Dan Band, appeared in the music video for Drake’s seventh studio album at his fictional mass wedding. Honestly, forget it.

The crooner provides a musical interlude in the video, singing a slowed-down version of Drake’s 2009 single “Best I Ever Had.” He ends the performance during the credits, adding his own lyrics to the track. “Drake f—ing you, this is my damn song,” sings Finnerty, 52, in a rap.

He began in theatre and comedy

Finnerty began his career as a member of the off-Broadway show Stampingknown for using her body and ordinary objects for percussion performances.

He has also served more than 15 times as a correspondent for The Jay Leno Show And The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

He is the lead singer of the Dan Band

Finnerty formed his eponymous comedy band in 2000, known for covering songs by female pop divas in their own raunchy style. Since then, they have released three albums, including The Dan Band live (2005), Ho. A Dan Band Christmas (2006) and The wedding album (2015).

The band was the focus of the Bravo concert special 2005 Dan Finnerty & The Dan Band: I Am Woman by director McG and executive producer Steven Spielberg.

They also performed Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show And Last call with Carson Dalyin addition to their work as house band on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

He probably played a wedding singer in your favorite movie

Finnerty is probably best known for his collaboration with director Todd Phillips. He appeared in Old School, Starsky & Hutch And the Hangover. Fans will remember his offensive cover of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” from 2003. Old School.

He often brings his vocal skills to his roles when playing a wedding singer or a bar mitzvah performer.

Finnerty’s other achievements include The wedding planner, The Terminal And Dumplingsto name just a few. After the role of Lonny in the staged jukebox musical Rock of EternityHe had a cameo appearance in the 2012 film adaptation

He is married to Kathy Najimy

Finnerty married Kathy Najimy in August 1998, and their wedding was officiated by Gloria Steinem. “Gloria Steinem came to a show and walked in during ‘Gloria.’ You can’t pray for that kind of shit!” he said. Weekly entertainment in the year 2000.
