Which airline should join the AAdvantage frequent flyer program next?

Earlier this week, JetSMART announced that it would launch American Airlines’ AAdvantage program as its own loyalty program. The two airlines have worked closely together in recent years to expand their codeshare offerings and shared network across the Americas. The change means passengers can now earn miles on JetSMART flights that are not tied to an American Airlines booking.

The news follows the announcement that Fiji Airways will use AAdvantage as its loyalty program from next year. The airline joins the oneworld alliance as a full member (currently only an affiliate member) and launches flights to the American megahub in Dallas, so the transition will undoubtedly provide Fijians with new earning and redemption opportunities across the alliance, without additional Loyalty infrastructure must be created.

There are still a number of AAdvantage partners that are not part of the oneworld alliance, namely Aer Lingus, Air Tahiti Nui, Cape Air, China Southern Airlines, Etihad Airways, GOL Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, IndiGo and Silver Airways.

Cape Air and Silver Airways do not currently have a loyalty program, but do offer codeshare opportunities with other airlines. There could also be interest from other undisclosed airlines. Which airlines do you think could benefit from the introduction of the AAdvantage program?
