When will the People’s Choice Country Awards 2024 take place?

Hold on tight, the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards are streaming into the stables as we type. The two-hour live event will be hosted by five-time Grammy Award-winning country music legend Shania Twain.

The second annual 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards begins Thursday, September 26 at 8:00 p.m. EST on NBC and will also stream on Peacock.

In an interview with Billboard, Twain described the opportunity as a full-circle moment.

“It takes me back to my own beginnings in Nashville and as a new recording artist there, and of course the historic location is always appealing,” Twain said of the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to take place at the Grand Ole Opry. “I meet new artists, meet old friends and meet new ones… I’m here more than a fan and nothing else. It’s the artists that people want to hear and see, so for me that’s everything. I’m going to be in the middle of it, so I’m super excited. I am fully available.”

Joining Twain on stage as host will be several big names in country music, including Ashley Cooke, Bailey Zimmerman, Chase Rice and Cody Rhodes. Miranda Lambert will also be honored with the 2024 Country Icon Award.

Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban and Kane Brown

Ahead of the main event, E! will host a two-hour red carpet pre-show, “Live From E!: People’s Choice Country Awards,” beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST.

As for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards performers, Brad Paisley, Kane Brown, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady A, MGK, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum and The War and Treaty will be taking the stage.

At the top with the most nominations are Beyoncé and Zach Bryan, who both have 12 nominations each. Kacey Musgraves is in second place with ten nominations, followed by Morgan Wallen with nine, Luke Combs with eight and Kane Brown with seven nominations. Shaboozey, Nate Smith, Dasha, Tucker Wetmore and Koe Wetzel are all in the running for the Best New Artist award.

The People’s Choice Country Awards – an expansion of the People’s Choice Awards – airs Thursday from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
