It’s time for television’s biggest night, albeit for the second time this year.

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards take place tonight in Los Angeles and all eyes are on who will take home the coveted trophies.

The second Emmy Awards of 2024 will take place just eight months after the 75th Primetime Emmys on Fox, which was originally scheduled for September 2023 due to strikes by writers and actors.

The awards will be presented by an exciting line-up of presenters including Selena Gomez, Matt Bomer, Viola Davis, Colin Farrell, Lily Gladstone, Mindy Kaling, Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Nicola Coughlan and Kristen Wiig.

Here’s what you need to know about TV’s biggest night.

Who will host the 2024 Emmy Awards?

Eugene Levy and Dan Levy of “Schitt’s Creek” will host this year’s awards ceremony, making history as the first father-son duo to do so, according to the Television Academy.

“For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a real quarantine tent, the prospect of hosting in a real theater this year was incentive enough,” the duo said in a statement announcing their performance. “We’re excited to toast this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with all of you.”

Emmy Nominees 2024

With 25 nominations, FX’s “Shōgun” tops the list of nominations, closely followed by FX’s restaurant dramedy “The Bear” with 23 nominations. It’s important to note that “The Bear” is only nominated for its second season in 2023, not the third, which aired in June. Third on the list is Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” with 21 nominations. HBO’s “True Detective: Night Country” rounds out the list with 19 nominations.

The 2024 Emmy Awards eligibility deadlines apply to shows that aired between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024. Only shows that aired during this 12-month period were nominated.
