When is Prime Day 2024? Amazon announces dates for summer sales event

Amazon’s 10th Prime Day is just around the corner and the e-commerce company has enlisted rapper Megan Thee Stallion to kick off the sales event.

The rapper kicks things off with her own song “It’s Prime Day,” streaming exclusively on Amazon Music. In the accompanying video, the rapper says she can “change my hobby like I change my men” by taking advantage of Prime Day’s member-exclusive deals to become a cosplayer, stylist, lifeguard, gamer, and chef.

Prime members can also shop Megan Thee Stallion’s Prime Day selection inspired by her various interests featured in the music video, including early bird discounts on items from her new Hot Girl Summer tour merchandise collection.

The two-day sale begins July 16 and runs through July 17, promising millions of deals across over 35 categories including electronics, kitchen, apparel and beauty.

“Prime Day is a celebration of the value we provide to our members year-round. During the event, there will be millions of deals across more than 35 product categories, as well as discounts on Amazon devices, premium entertainment, groceries, travel and more,” said Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime, in a press release.

“In fact, Amazon customers saved nearly $24 billion over the past year through deals and coupons – with Prime members receiving the majority of those savings – including over $2.5 billion on Prime Day 2023,” Ghani added in the press release.
