What’s the weather like in Colorado Springs today? | Weather

In the Colorado Springs area, mostly sunny weather with highs around 58 degrees is expected, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.

A north-northeast wind will be blowing at about 5 mph, turning to the southeast later in the afternoon. There is a 10 percent chance of thunderstorms after 5 p.m. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.

Rain showers with snow at high elevations will continue throughout the morning and near the higher terrain. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible at higher elevations in the afternoon as an upper-elevation low slowly exits the Rockies. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to locally 2 inches are possible at higher elevations, generally above 10,000 feet. The primary risk from a thunderstorm is lightning.

Friday: Sunny, high around 80 degrees. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east-northeast in the afternoon.
