Here’s what CNBC TV producers have been watching during the recovery and what’s on the radar for the next session.

Weekly mortgage applications

  • We’ll get new data Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. ET. CNBC TV real estate reporter Diana Olick will have the numbers and immediate analysis.
  • Over the past month, Hovnanian shares have risen 16.7%.
  • DR Horton is up 14% in one month.
  • Lennar is up 6.6% in one month.
  • NVR is up 6.3% in one month.
  • Pultegroup is up 6.2% in one month.
  • KB Home is up 5.6% in one month.
  • Masco is up 4.9% in one month.
  • Toll Brothers is up 4.8% in one month.
  • Taylor Morrison fell 0.8 percent within a month.
  • Beazer has fallen 9.5% in one month.

Chipotle

  • Kate Rogers reports for CNBC TV what happens next after the company’s highly popular CEO, Brian Niccol, announced that he will trade Mexican food for coffee and switch to Starbucks.
  • Chipotle Mexican Grill shares fell 7.5% today.
  • The stock has risen 40% in a year, but is now only 25% below its June peak.
  • Niccol started at Chipotle in March 2018. Since then, the stock has risen over 700%.

Big Tech’s big day

  • The Nasdaq 100 closed today up 2.5 percent, up 8 percent from its July 10 high and up 5 percent over the past week.
  • Starbucks was the leader today with an increase of 24.5%, but the rest of the top ten were all large technology stocks that have suffered slight losses in recent weeks.
  • Super Micro rose 4.9% on Tuesday. The stock is 54% below its March high.
  • NVIDIA gained 6.5%. The stock is 17.5% below its 52-week high.
  • KLA rose 4.8%. The stock is trading 11.4% below its July 11 high.
  • ARM gained 5.7%. The stock is 34% below its July 9 high.
  • Marvell Technology rose 5.9 percent. The stock is trading 25 percent below its high on March 7.
  • Broadcom rose 5.1%. The stock is 15.6% below its June 18 high.
  • AMD rose 3.2% today. The stock is 38% below its March 8 high.
  • Applied Materials rose 4% today. The stock is 27% below its July 10 high.
  • Micron rose 3% today. The stock is 38% below its June 18 high.

Intel

  • CNBC TV’s Seema Mody will focus on Intel and the challenges the company faces on Wednesday.
  • The stock rose 5.73% on Tuesday, but is trading 60% below its December 27 high.
  • The stock lost 33% in August.

Gambling in the USA

  • Contessa Brewer will appear on CNBC tomorrow to talk about how quickly online gambling is growing in this country.
  • FanDuel’s parent company Flutter beat earnings expectations and raised its forecast following Tuesday’s reporting.
  • Flutter shares rose 10% in after-hours trading this evening.
  • However, the share price is 15% below its March high.
  • DraftKings has also been significantly in the red since spring, down 36% since March 27.
  • Flutter saw a 7.6% drop in a month and DraftKings saw a 17% drop in the same period.

The airlines

  • August is already half over and airline stocks are in a serious crisis.
  • Hawaiian is the only one up this month, up 10%.
  • In the southwest there was a decline of 5.6% in August.
  • American Airlines reported a decline of 7.8% in August.
  • Delta Air Lines reported a decline of 8.2% in August.
  • United reported a 9.9% decline in August.
  • Spirit fell 15.6% in August.
  • Mesa saw a 19.8% decline in August.
  • JetBlue reported a 28.7% decline in August.

Tencent reports

  • The Chinese internet giant will publish its quarterly figures on Wednesday before the stock market opens.
  • The stock is up 7.8% over the past week and is just 3.75% below its May 16 high.
  • Tencent shares have risen about 1% in the three months since its last reporting.

Cisco

  • The long-established technology giant will report on Wednesday after the stock market closes.
  • Cisco shares have risen 22 percent since their September peak and fallen nearly 7 percent since reporting three months ago.
