PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD — County government offices and courts will be closed Monday for Labor Day. This includes the animal control facility and adoption center, the Brown Station Road landfill, the Brown Station Road public restroom drop-off center, the electronics recycling drop-off center, the county materials recycling facility, the county organics compost facility, and the household hazardous waste drop-off center and solids drop-off center and recycling drop-off center on Missouri Avenue.
The city administration offices will be closed.
All county parks are open during regular business hours.
The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System is closed on Monday.
Prince George’s County Public Schools buildings and offices will be closed Monday.
There will be no garbage pickup on Monday, with scheduled pickups in the county resuming on Tuesday. Bulky waste will be picked up by appointment only, with no scheduled pickups permitted on Monday. In county contract areas, garbage will be picked up on a staggered schedule Wednesday through Saturday. Regular recycling waste will be picked up curbside Wednesday through Saturday.
There will be no curbside trash and recycling pickup in the City of Bowie on Monday. Pickup will resume on the next regularly scheduled day.
There will be no yard waste or compost pickup in Hyattsville this week. The county’s normal garbage and recycling routes will not be affected.
In Laurel, Monday garbage, recycling and compost pickups will be on Tuesday. Tuesday residential garbage, recycling and compost pickups will be picked up on Wednesday, and Tuesday commercial pickups will remain the same. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday garbage, recycling and compost pickups will remain the same. Bulky waste and yard waste pickups will not be picked up this week. The next yard waste and bulky waste pickup is scheduled for Wednesday.
The bus will not operate on Monday. Regular COVID-19 operation of The bus will resume on Tuesday. Call bus And PGC Link Services, including dialysis transport, will not be offered on Monday. The regular COVID-19 operations of the Call bus And PGC Link Services will resume on Tuesday.
PGC311 will be closed Monday and will resume regular operations Tuesday, but residents may still submit service/problem requests online at www.countyclick311.com/.
