In most districts across the state, classes begin on Friday.

Tim Felderman, principal of West Delaware High School, says the first day of school includes numerous activities for students.

There will be some new faces at West Delaware High School this year. Felderman says there have been more retirements than usual in recent years, but those positions will be filled with a great group of new hires.

Felderman says West Delaware will have some new policies in place this school year, one of which will limit student cell phone use.

Other new regulations include restricting backpacks in the classroom.

School is in session all day on Friday in West Delaware. The last day of school is scheduled for May 29.
