Naga Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu, but they separated in 2021 after four years of marriage. Now, Chaitanya has moved on with his life and got engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala in an intimate ceremony on August 8, 2024. Although the couple has not yet announced their wedding plans, if reports are to be believed, Chay and Sobhita have shortlisted their possible wedding dates and narrowed down the wedding venue.

According to several reports in Telugu media, including News18 Telugu, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala may get married by the end of the year. Otherwise, the couple may exchange their marital vows in March 2025. The report added that while Chay and Sobhita have not yet finalised a wedding venue, Rajasthan is their first choice and they are also looking at destinations in Madhya Pradesh and even abroad.

It was August 8, 2024, when Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala broke the internet with their sudden engagement. Nagarjuna posted two pictures from the intimate ceremony on X and captioned a heartfelt message. The doting father shared that the duo’s engagement took place at 9:42 am and revealed the significance of the date 8.8.8. Nagarjuna also welcomed Sobhita into their family and wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness. He wrote:
“We are happy to announce the engagement of our son Naga Chaitanya with Sobhita Dhulipala which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are over the moon to welcome them into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless them! 8.8.8 A beginning of never ending love.”

Earlier, in an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna was asked about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding date. In response, the superstar stated that the duo rushed their engagement as August 8 is an auspicious day. He added that Chay and Sobhita have decided to marry each other and the family is OK with it but there is no rush. He was quoted as saying:
“Not right away, Subhash. As I told you, we decided to rush into the engagement because it was an auspicious day and since Chay and Sobhita are very sure that they want to get married, we said let’s do it.”
