WEATHER: The National Weather Service issues a heat warning for this Thursday and Friday

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Heat Advisory for Thursday, August 8, and Friday, August 9, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

The warning comes into effect on Thursday afternoon and is valid until Friday night at 9 p.m. Temperatures between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius are forecast.

“Hot conditions are expected with temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees,” the NWS said. “This poses a moderate to isolated high risk for heat-related illness.”
