On National Voter Registration Day, Grammy-winning musician siblings Billie Eilish and Finneas endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election and urged their followers to register to vote.
“It’s National Voter Registration Day and we’re asking you to join us at iwillvote.com to check your status and vote early like we do,” Finneas said Tuesday in an Instagram video alongside his sister.
“We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Wallz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet and our democracy,” Eilish chimed in as the two took turns explaining the reasons for their decision.
“We cannot allow extremists to control our lives, our freedoms, and our future. The only way to stop them and the dangerous agenda of Project 2025 is to vote for Kamala Harris,” Finneas added.
“Vote like your life depends on it, because it does,” Eilish said.
Finally, the two urged their fans to visit “iwillvote.com” and cast their votes early.
“I love you guys,” Eilish said.
The two are the latest celebrities to announce that Harris and Walz are their presidential candidates. Just moments after Harris and Donald Trump had their first presidential debate, pop superstar Taylor Swift announced that Harris-Walz was the team for her.
“I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” Swift said on September 10. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a champion to represent them. I think she is a calm, gifted leader and believe we can accomplish so much more in this country when we are led by calm, not chaos. I was so encouraged and impressed by her choice of her running mate @timwalz, who has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women’s rights to their own bodies for decades.”
