In Warminster, 100 native, water-loving trees will soon be planted near the Ben Wilson Community Center, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Pavement.

A project to improve green infrastructure in Warminster Township received unanimous approval from the Board of Supervisors on June 20.

Led by John McGee, chairman of the Warminster Environmental Advisory Council (EAC), and Ken Jones, president of the Neshaminy Watershed Association, the project is designed to manage stormwater runoff from nearby settlements.

The project includes a mix of small shrubs and large canopy trees that will be strategically planted to create a visually appealing landscape around the senior center.

The EAC has secured funding for the first 100 trees and plans to potentially add more in the future.
