RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) –

Fog may form overnight in many locations in the KOTA area. Visibility could drop to about a mile when we wake up in Rapid City. The good news is that the fog will clear quickly and we’ll have some sunshine tomorrow afternoon. Nighttime lows in Rapid City will start to drop and stabilize at around 54 degrees with partly cloudy skies. The morning fog will be short-lived but could impact your commute Monday morning. We’ll see the fog clear and the sun come back out in time for your evening commute home, so don’t forget to bring your sunglasses! Tomorrow, temperatures in Rapid City will reach around 80 degrees with partly sunny skies. An isolated afternoon thunderstorm can’t be ruled out but isn’t very likely. Futurecast shows we’ll see fog in the morning leading to partly sunny skies. These skies could have an isolated afternoon thunderstorm but I think the majority of that will stay away toward northern Nebraska. A few isolated thunderstorms are still possible Tuesday afternoon, but it will be mostly sunny. Tonight, temperatures in the KOTA area will climb to 4 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit with partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of some morning fog that could impact your commute. In Rapid City, skies will be partly sunny, with the chance of one or two isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. The next three days in Northeast Wyoming and the Northern Hills will see temperatures return to normal, with thunderstorm chances increasing in some areas on Tuesday and Wednesday. In Rapid City, thunderstorm chances will again be highest on Wednesday and Friday, with some isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain above 27 degrees Fahrenheit for the next seven days.
