Apparently Tim Walz falsified a response to the school shooting, saying he had become “friends” with the shooters.

The hosts asked Walz how he changed his mind about banning “assault weapons” over the course of his career.

“I was sitting in this office with these Sandy Hook parents. I became friends with school shooters. I saw it,” Walz said.

He also said he always kept his gun in the back of the car so he could go “pheasant hunting” after “football practice.”

Walz said if America wants to stop school shootings, we should turn to Finland.

“That won’t happen to them,” the Minnesota governor said. “Although gun ownership rates in the country are high, there are common-sense things we can do to make a difference.”

Walz noted that the federal government played a role in taking away “some of these weapons out there” — but did not specify which ones.

“I actually appreciate what Tim said about Finland,” Vance replied, “because I think it illustrates some of the frankly strange differences between the problem of gun violence in our own country and Finland.”

The Ohio senator said that unlike the Scandinavian country, the US is struggling with higher rates of depression and anxiety.
