Wagner and Sherman sign autographs at the opening of Crumbl Cookies

Some fans lined up as early as 4 a.m. to meet the former Seahawks players.

A day after the unofficial opening of Renton Landing’s newest bakery, diehard Seahawks and/or dessert fans lined up as early as 4 a.m. to attend the official opening of Crumbl Cookies, co-owned by former Seattle Seahawk Bobby Wagner.

On Saturday, August 31st – officially opening at 8am – the doors of the new Renton Crumbl opened with much fanfare and a line that stretched around the entire building.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen people show up at 4 a.m. waiting for a spot,” said Cam Round, co-owner of Renton Crumbl. “It’s pretty exciting. Obviously Bobby is a huge support to the community – not just as an athlete, but as a representative, I think, of Seattle.”

Many Wagner and Seahawks fans waited in line for hours to get their jerseys, footballs, Funko Pop! figures and posters signed. They were delighted to learn that Wagner was accompanied by fellow former Seahawk Richard Sherman to get autographs and take photos.

In addition to the signature Crumbls cookies and the chance to meet the two NFL stars, the grand opening featured free Crumbl gifts, a football toss for prizes, a photo booth and a giant inflatable Crumbl football helmet that caught the eye of many Landing shoppers.

“It’s a popular location. There are a lot of great restaurants here, a lot of great things that bring people to this area,” Round said of the decision to open the new location at The Landing.
