Virginia Tech “Fan Day” and Fall Camp

Virginia Tech Football prides itself on giving back to fans each year and hosts its annual “Fan Day” where fans can come and get autographs from their favorite players. In August of each year, all fans at Virginia Tech can bring memorabilia such as helmets, jerseys, footballs, etc. to get signed and even take photos with fans of all ages. This is a great way for players to give back to Hokie Nation and the players have fun at the event too.

Hokies kicker Kyle Lowe had this to say about the annual Fan Day: “When you look around, I feel like it gets bigger and bigger every year, we’re like a big family. It’s great to talk to the people who come out every Saturday and support us.”

Above all, Virginia Tech prides itself on unity, as stated in its motto, “Ut Prosim,” which means (That I May Serve), and Virginia Tech helps improve the communities they live in. Hokies offensive lineman Parker Clement said, “It’s great to be out here with the fans on a personal level. They get the Hokie nation to support them, and they love supporting them as much as they support us. It’s great.”

Virginia Tech also had scrimmages this week and several players have made a name for themselves so far in fall camp. Many players have shown potential by playing consistently for the team and have been called dominant players by the coaches in the team’s scrimmages.

Hokies linebacker Jaden Keller had this to say about his fall camp so far: “Yeah. I think I’m playing my best football game right now. I think I’m getting better and better with the coaching, the best I’ve ever had. And it’s not just the coaches, it’s the players watching the film with the coaches. The atmosphere that we create here makes you want to get better every day and makes you want to come in every day and work and improve your game.”

Based on the play and the togetherness shown by the Virginia Tech football team and fans, it’s probably safe to say they’re ready for this season. Virginia Tech has a long and storied program and a loyal fan base that gives back to each other. When you combine that with a great offseason for the entire team, there’s no reason for fans not to believe in the team this season.
