View the weekly traffic closure advisories for road work in Southeast Georgia from August 24-30.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has released its weekly traffic advisory for Southeast Georgia, detailing ongoing road work and lane closures from August 24-30.

SOUTHEAST GA – The Georgia Department of Transportation continues critical road work throughout southeast Georgia, so work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, August 24 through Friday, August 30.


Due to the Labor Day holiday, lane closures will be in effect on major state roads and highways from noon on Friday, August 30th through 5 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd. No road closures or work will be performed during this time that will restrict or impede traffic.


All work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, pay attention and watch for workers when driving through construction sites.

Interstate 95



I-95 @ Crooked River Camden County
Bridge maintenance/renovation
Laurel Island Pkwy (Exit 6) to Hariett Bluff Rd (Exit 7)
Nighttime lane closures from 7pm to 7am until November 2024



I-95 (Milestones 85 – 112) Bryan/Chatham counties

  • Burnsed Boulevard will be narrowed to two lanes from Highway 80 to the intersection with SR 25. Traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes, which will then have one lane in each direction.

  • SR 25 North closed to through traffic from Bay Street. Only trucks need access to Foundation Drive.
