The stars were out before Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes faced UCF on Saturday afternoon.

Former NFL MVP and Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Cam Newton greeted Sanders on the field before the contest.

On the other hand, it seemed like Travis Hunter was too busy for Newton:

After an impressive 38-31 overtime win over Baylor on September 21, Colorado is looking for its third straight win.

Newton and Sanders have met before when the Buffaloes’ signal caller interviewed the 35-year-old 4th & 1st Podcast on February 10th.

The Buffaloes have been known for prominent appearances at their games since Deion Sanders took over as head coach in December 2022. During Colorado’s 2023 campaign, actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and rappers Lil Wayne and Offset showed up to home games to support the team.

Shedeur will look to continue his strong start to the season against the Knights on Saturday. In his first three appearances of the year, he completed 67.9 percent of his throws for 1,340 yards and 11 touchdowns, compared to just two interceptions. Sanders also added another point on the spot.

He had an exceptional performance in Colorado’s win over Baylor, passing for 341 yards, including a game-winning 43-yard touchdown, with no time left in regulation.

The outstanding two-player Travis Hunter was also responsible for the team’s success in the season opener with 37 catches for 472 yards and five touchdowns. Hunter also recorded 14 tackles and one interception as a cornerback.

If Sanders and Hunter can pick up another win on Saturday, the Buffaloes will match their win total from the 2023 season.
