The Detroit Lions are about to get a new fan.

Rather, they are about to get a new Stan.

Eminem has released the music video for his song Temporary on Thursday, and it includes a video clip of his daughter Hailie presenting him with a blue Lions No. 1 jersey with the word “Grandpa” on the name tag (four-minute mark):

The emotional song is dedicated to Hailie and includes home video footage from her youth, footage from her wedding and the full-circle moment when the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer realizes his daughter is about to have her own child.

Eminem has been one of the Lions’ most public fans, especially in recent years.

HBO’s Hard hits He recorded his visit to the team facility before the 2022 season, he helped open the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit by appearing on stage with commissioner Roger Goodell, and he attended several playoff games en route to the NFC Championship Game last season.

The rapper even greeted San Francisco 49ers fans as only he could at the game:

While Detroit missed out on a place in the Super Bowl with a 34:31 loss to San Francisco, it is once again on the short list of contenders for a Lombardi Trophy this season. And the future is bright too with a line-up of stars including Aidan Hutchinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta and Jahmyr Gibbs.

Eminem will soon have a new family member who can watch future Lions games with him.
