Vicky Pattison wows in a unique wedding dress at her wedding to Ercan Ramadan

Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison was the picture of marital bliss as she left the registry office hand-in-hand with her new husband Ercan Ramadan. The TV star, 36, looked stunning as she said ‘I do’ in front of 150 family and friends at London’s prestigious Old Marylebone Town Hall on Saturday 24 July, joining an iconic list of lovebirds to have married at the same venue, including Sir Paul McCartney to Nancy Shevell, and Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton.

On her big day, Vicky deviated from the norm of a floor-length gown and dazzled in a stunning white off-the-shoulder mini dress teamed with sky-high silver platform heels. She completed the look with an elegant short veil as an accessory. Meanwhile, Ercan cut a dashing figure in his sleek black suit and bow tie.

The air was filled with cheers and confetti as they made their grand exit, all smiling and beaming with happiness. Their celebrity friends, including reality TV star Pete Wicks, were seen outside applauding the newlywed couple.

The celebrations aren’t over yet for the lovebirds as they head to picturesque Puglia in Italy for a glamorous follow-up ceremony, which they will share with their fans on Vicky’s Channel 4 special, Vicky Pattison: Destination Wedding.

All this joy comes after Vicky bravely opened up about her mental health struggles and feeling “hopeless” and “exhausted” ahead of the wedding. Taking to Instagram, she opened up about her problems, posting emotional snaps and speaking about her battle with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), an extreme form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

Vicky spoke to her followers about the struggles she has with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD): “Believe me, the week before my wedding I didn’t want to be that person… you imagine yourself excited and happy and having little birds putting your dress on… instead I was depressed, anxious and self-critical, filled with female rage, hopelessness and exhaustion. That’s what PMDD does.”

“PMDD is like building a sandcastle of good habits, positive vibes, and a loving personality, and then watching it all wash away, leaving depression, anger, hope, and fear behind. The wave recedes. You start rebuilding just as a new wave comes in. And you know what’s REALLY annoying? Just like your period ALWAYS seems to come when you go on vacation, that hot PMDD week is whenever you have something important to do, something where you could really be your shining, shiny, BRILLIANT self, instead of this anxious, suicidal little shell of a woman.”

She continued, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of PMDD: “We can’t control when this wave will crash. I’ve had messages from women saying that PMDD has robbed them of a lot of things. It showed up at birthdays, graduations, job interviews, it often prevented them from being the mother they wanted to be, it strained relationships, it robbed them of moments that should have been happy.”

She admitted that her story did not have a “positive ending” and added, “I see you,” to show her solidarity with others struggling with the same issues.
