Vicky Pattison admits “heartache” over dream wedding

As she prepares to finally walk down the aisle, Vicky Pattison should be the happiest girl in the world.

But the former winner of “I’m a Celebrity” has now spoken about the secret heartbreak she felt in light of the plans.

Vicky, 36, is set to marry fiancé Ercan Ramadan later this year and has admitted she is feeling “drained” ahead of the big day.

She also has to juggle work with wedding planning, as her new E4 show Second-Hand Showdown is about to air. Vicky spoke about how she manages to juggle the two and also opened up about the costs she faces.

Update on Vicky Pattison’s wedding

She told The Mirror: “Weddings are big business. They’re so expensive. And I think, particularly since Covid, we feel cheated out of a few years of life, and rightly so, because we’ve had to stop having the big events and spending time with friends and family, and that’s left a lasting mark.”

“I think as a nation, probably even internationally, people have a desire to make up for lost time, to spend time with friends and family, to do something big.

“I think the wedding business has absolutely capitalised on that. There’s no doubt about it. So (bleep) they’re expensive. There’s no other word for it. So, yes, I had to work. Everyone has to work. I’m very lucky. I like my job. I’m not in the mines, am I?”

She spoke at length about the disappointment caused by the large sum she spent, saying she “worked hard, but it’s for the wedding of my dreams, you know?”

Although Vicky said she was “excited,” it still breaks her heart a little bit every time I see large sums of money coming into circulation.
