To ensure reliable service, maintenance work will take place today, Tuesday, August 13, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on utility poles that will impact traffic along Dairy Road in front of Maui Marketplace in Kahului. No service interruptions are planned for this work. The work was originally scheduled for August 5 and 6.

For public and worker safety reasons, the right lane of Dairy Road heading northeast toward Kahului Airport will be closed. During this work, drivers should expect workers and multiple flatbed trucks to be on the road and air compressors to be in use, which may cause noise in the immediate area.

Safety signs, information signs and traffic cones mark the work area and guide drivers through the modified lanes. Traffic controllers are on site to ensure traffic control.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and driving through the construction site and expect traffic delays in the immediate area.
