The final tennis Grand Slam tournament of 2024 is upon us, and while the spotlight of the home crowd is on the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre, one of America’s best players since the era of King and the Williams sisters is seeking her second consecutive US Open title.

Coco Gauff is the defending champion at Flushing Meadows after defeating Aryna Sabalenka 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in last year’s decider. Ahead of the 2024 tournament, she is one of several American players hoping to make a big impression at the US Open, with five of her players seeded in the top 14 in the women’s competition in Queens.

Gauff is seeded third ahead of this year’s US Open behind world number one Iga Swiatek and last year’s defeated finalist Sabalenka after the 20-year-old reached the semifinals of the Australian Open in her best performance of 2024 so far.

Jessica Pegula is not far behind Gauff in the rankings and is seeded No. 6 ahead of the women’s competition, while Danielle Collins, Emma Navarro and Madison Keys are seeded No. 11, 13 and 14 respectively. Gauff’s title defense begins with a first-round match against France’s Varvara Gracheva, with 18 other U.S. players also having qualified for the first round.

Transmitted Television coverage of this year’s US Open will be carried across multiple channels, with ESPN being the tournament’s primary broadcaster. Both ESPN and ESPN 2 will show English-language coverage of the women’s competition, and ESPN Deportes will also provide Spanish-language commentary. ABC will also be covering the US Open for the first time, showing the women’s round of 16 matches.

Tennis fans can also stream women’s match coverage from all ESPN English and Spanish broadcasts with ESPN+, while streaming service Fubo will broadcast the action both live and in catch-up – and also offer a FREE seven-day trial to new subscribers.

Below you will find the full schedule for the 2024 US Open in women’s tennis from the first round onwards. Monday, August 26 until the final of the championship on Saturday, September 7.

The games start on 11:00 am local time (ET) in the first, second, third and fourth (last 16) rounds, and thus to a 12:00 noon (ET) start time for the quarterfinals. The two semifinals will both take place from 19:00 (ET) on Thursday, September 5, with the decision taking place two days later, 16:00 local time (ET).
