US Open 2024: Taylor Fritz’s stunning girlfriend Morgan Riddle watches as the American takes on Alexander Zverev after her Wimbledon dispute with her German rival

Taylor Fritz’s influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle attended his quarterfinal duel with Alexander Zverev at the US Open on Tuesday – just two months after her dispute with the German at Wimbledon.

Riddle, who has 18 million likes on TikTok, was already at the centre of a controversy in July after Zverev complained about the noise coming from his rival’s box – where she was sitting during the match – following his loss to Fritz in London.

And to top off the argument, the tennis player celebrated her boyfriend’s victory by apparently referring to allegations of domestic violence against his opponent from 2020.

In an Instagram video that was quickly deleted, Riddle added the caption: “When your man wins with the girls.”

In June, Zverev reached an agreement with his accuser, the mother of his child, to pay around $240,000. However, he has not been convicted of a crime and maintains his innocence.

A few months after her feud with the world number 4, Riddle took a seat at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York to cheer on Fritz in their highly anticipated US Open rematch.

She has since claimed that her deleted Instagram video was not actually a reference to Zverev, even though many of Fritz’s fans believed otherwise.

“As for my stories from yesterday… I deleted them as soon as I realized the misunderstanding and how much the media had blown them out of proportion,” she said in a subsequent video.

“It was not about incidents off the court and there is no animosity between anyone.”

While Riddle claims there is no animosity between the two camps, Fritz and Zverev exchanged blows at the net after their meeting in the round of 16 at Wimbledon.

Zverev said afterwards that he was annoyed by some people in Fritz’s box who “may not come from the tennis world.” Riddle was sitting in the box that day.

The pair's round of 16 match in London was overshadowed by controversy after Zverev complained about the noise coming from his rival's box - where Riddle was sitting.

“His team is extremely respectful. I think his coach, his physiotherapist and also his second coach are extremely respectful,” he said of the American.

“I think there are a few other people in the box who maybe aren’t from the tennis world, who maybe haven’t seen every single game. They overdid it a little bit.”

Zverev and Fritz have spoken since then, the latter told reporters at Wimbledon.

“I think he was a little upset that my teammates were cheering me on when he was injured, but he said, ‘It’s nothing to do with you. You guys are fine…’ Whatever, it’s all good.”

The winner of the quarterfinals between Fritz and Zverev on Tuesday afternoon will face either Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov or American Frances Tiafoe in the semifinals.
