US Open 2024: How to watch the men’s and women’s tennis

The 2024 tennis season will end with the US Open, which begins on August 26, and will see defending champions Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovic battle to defend their titles.

Djokovic, 37, and Qinwen Zheng, 21, arrive as Olympic gold medalists at the 2024 Paris Games, while Carlos Alcaraz, 21, and Barbora Krejcikova, 28, won the first major tournament of the season at Wimbledon.

Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam singles titles – the most in tennis history – surpassing both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The Serb has achieved a career Grand Slam, winning each of the four major tournaments at least once.

Djokovic has been ranked No. 1 in the ATP singles rankings for a record number of weeks and has completed two Grand Slams in his career, winning each major at least twice. He is known for his incredible consistency, mental toughness and versatile playing style. His rivalry with Federer and Nadal, known collectively as the “Big Three,” has defined an era of tennis.

Gauff attracted worldwide attention with her remarkable performance at Wimbledon 2019, reaching the fourth round at just 15 years old. She won her first Grand Slam singles title at the 2023 US Open.

Known for her powerful game, athleticism and strong work ethic, the Atlanta native has had a career marked by a rapid rise through the ranks, solid performances at major tournaments and a promising future in tennis.

US Open 2024: How to watch

The 2024 US Open will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC. For those who prefer to stream, ESPN+ offers live coverage.

The tournament will take place from August 26th to September 8th.

Where will the 2024 US Open take place?

The tournament will be played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York, continuing its tradition as one of tennis’ most iconic venues.

US Open 2024 Prize: What does the winner get?

This year’s US Open has a record prize pool of $75 million.

The individual winners will each receive an incredible $3.6 million, the largest prize money in the tournament’s history. The individual runners-up will receive $1.8 million.

The doubles winners will receive $750,000 per team, while the finalists will receive $375,000.

Where will the final of the 2024 US Open be played?

The finals will take place at Arthur Ashe Stadium, the main court of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
