The U.S. Forest Service will fill 250 firefighter positions in the Rocky Mountain region. Many of those positions could be in Colorado, but there are also opportunities in other states such as Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming, according to KKTV.
The U.S. Forest Service is seeking to fill positions in the fire service field including hotshot crew members, hand crew members, fire protection specialists, fire engine technicians, fire engine base managers, fuel technicians, deputy fire chiefs, dispatchers, equipment operators and more.

The application period for these U.S. Forest Service jobs is 33 days, from August 23 to September 24, 2024. These positions are open to all U.S. citizens and nationals over the age of 18. Hiring managers will use a direct hire authority to hire applicants. Applicants will be hired between October 30 and November 22, 2024.
