Below is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled in the Northern Missouri region over the next few weeks. All road closures and planned road work can be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes for some of the planned work. In addition to the work noted below, traffic shifts may also occur throughout the region.
Adair County
Missouri Route 6 – August 22, lane restriction for bridge maintenance on the structure over the Chariton River, 0.50 miles west of Rye Creek Road between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Macon County
Missouri Route 3 – August 20, lane closure for bridge maintenance from Old Highway 36 to South Outer Road (Golden Avenue) between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. A 12-foot lane closure will be in effect where crews are actively working.
US Route 36 (eastbound) – August 19, lane restriction for bridge maintenance from 0.25 miles before and after the Gantz Street Bridge in Macon between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
U.S. Route 36 (westbound) – August 20. Lane restriction for bridge maintenance from 0.50 mile west of Route C to past the Middle Fork Little Chariton River bridge between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. A 12-foot lane restriction will be in effect where crews are actively working.
US Route 36 (westbound) – August 21, lane closure for bridge maintenance from Missouri Route 129 to Route W between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. A 12-foot lane closure will be in effect where crews are actively working.
US Route 36 (eastbound and westbound passing lanes) – August 27, lane closure for installation of a new power line from Gantz Street in Macon to Hickory Street between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Schuyler County
Route O – August 26-27, closed daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for sewer replacement work from Miller Corner to Germania Avenue.
Route W – August 21, closed from Cedar Street to Ridge Drive between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. for sewer replacement work
Scotland County
Route A – August 26-29. Route U to Route M will be closed for repairs daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route V – August 21-22. Route M to Route K will be closed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for sealing work.
Knox County
Route C – August 20, closed for sealing work from Missouri Route 15 to Missouri Route 11 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Route Y – August 19, closed from Elwood Avenue to Missouri Route 15 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for sealing work
Putnam County
Route HH – pothole repair, August 19-23.
Route V – Pothole Repair, August 19-23.
Sullivan County
Route 129 – Repaving, August 16-23. The road will be narrowed to one lane and a 10-foot width restriction will be implemented (Contractor: Magruder Paving, LLC).
