University of Mississippi – Ole Miss Athletics

OXFORD, Miss – Ole Miss Athletics has strengthened its leadership within the department by hiring Taylor Hall as senior assistant athletic director for compliance, Keith Carter, vice chancellor for college athletics, announced Thursday.

“We are excited to bring Taylor’s experience and energy to our compliance efforts,” Carter said. “Taylor is well respected in the industry, and it speaks to the momentum of Ole Miss Athletics to bring on an administrator of his caliber. With his leadership and expertise, we have further strengthened our leadership team.”

Hall comes to Ole Miss after spending the last year as senior associate athletics director for compliance and student services at Arkansas State University. There, he was responsible for managing all aspects of the compliance and academic support departments. In addition, he oversaw student-athlete development programs and led a number of name, image and likeness (NIL) initiatives. Hall also served as athletic administrator for the Red Wolves’ men’s and women’s basketball and golf programs.

Prior to Jonesboro, Hall worked for five years in the University of Alabama’s Office of Compliance, providing primary compliance oversight for Alabama’s 20 Olympic sports and supporting compliance oversight for football recruiting and eligibility.

In addition to his compliance duties, Hall was heavily involved in all NIL matters. He served as administrator of Alabama’s “The Advantage” program, which was created to educate Crimson Tide student-athletes, provide them with the tools necessary to build and strengthen their personal brands, and provide external stakeholders with a coordinated process for engaging student-athletes in NIL opportunities.

While in Tuscaloosa, Hall served on the Licensing and NFT committees and helped manage the Elite Athlete Program, which included the agent training and registration process and the administration of major injury and disability insurance. He also taught a course on “Legal Issues in Sports” for four years as an adjunct professor in the Kinesiology (Sports Administration) MA program.

Hall came to Alabama after serving as assistant athletic director for compliance at Montana State University. During his time with the Bobcats, he oversaw NCAA compliance for 16 Division I college athletic programs. In 2018, he was appointed to the Big Sky Conference’s Legislative Review Committee and was named chair of the league’s compliance group.

The Washington native began his career in sports administration at The Citadel in 2015, where he served as compliance coordinator for the Bulldogs for over two years.

Hall earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Georgia in 2014 and his juris doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2017. Taylor and his wife, Annsley, have a son – Charlie – and are expecting a daughter in the fall.
